Welcome to .net, former home of Antigone Rising, current home of The Manbunnies, future home of wild, drunken debaucheries. If your retinas are experiencing a tingling or burning sensation, we are laughing at you.
:: Gnus

The Antigone Rising online store is now open for business! Check out the latest fashion trends not pertaining to cute animal suits! Also in the news, check out the newly launched Antigone Rising TV on YouTube! We dug up some rare, exclusive, never released footage. You'll want to check it out. You'll want to subscribe too. You do because otherwise, we know where you live and we're coming over to play!

And we're off! The band has left for their tour so that means the merry troop of van squatters known as Manbunnies are also out on the road. If you haven't heard the gnus, we have a new home now and our beloved Vanna is being donated to a charitable cause. Check out .com for more info and even participate in "The Great Motorola Vanna Shuffle"! You want to because we know where you live and we've planted subliminal messages while you were asleep. We will miss Vanna very much but we'll let you know how we're all adjusting to our new environment. Luckily there are no dogs among us so no one will be marking their territory in the new van (yet). Who said the Manbunnies don't have a soft side? Anyway, the band kicked off the tour Friday night at Maxwells in Hoboken, NJ. To show our softer side, we have a very special treat for you all, the performance of everyone's favorite sappy song "Broken". We promise Crabbunny's head won't be bouncing around this time, but feel free to sing along anyway.

In case you wondered, maybe even out loud, we were indeed at the Weehawken show. But we want to discuss something else. More specifically, someone else. The Manbunnies are starting to feel like we're in an episode of Scooby Doo and we would have gotten away with a lot of things if it weren't for that meddling tour manager of theirs. You know the one we speak of. She's putting the clues together in her head. We know it. We can feel it. If her suspicions trace their way to a certain net shelf inside a white van, all she'll find when she dramatically rip off our animal outfit head gear will be cute, innocent babies with the faces of angels. She'll never get anything out of us! We'll never talk! Check our latest video below.
Classroom activity: If the tour manager were a Scooby Doo character, which would she be and why?

As it serves our existance to make people happy and horrified at the same time, we've been heckling Antigone Rising's fans and creating mischief in their sandox on our downtime. We were taunting this person who goes by "Gibsongrrrl" for not knowing the basic scoop on The Manbunnies so we made her play Bart Simpson and write "The Manbunnies are BABIES in animal suits" twenty times on a chalkboard so that she may properly graduate Manbunnies 101. To our surprise, the girl actually submitted her homework! So now we're going to throw a graduation party. Be on the lookout for raging manbunnies pitching beer tents...

(July 6, 2006)
Check out what else the spy cam picked up. Are they onto our Manbunny activities? Will we be fugitives on the run inside a closed van? Plot thickens...
(July 4, 2006)
About that leg lamp...yeah, we liked it too. Shhhhhh, don't tell the band.

Happy July 4th everybody!

Good gnus. Crabbunny did in fact take some time off in between hanging out backstage eating and drinking to give us a report. Well...sorta. Why don't you lot just go ahead and click the play button below to see the video and watch what happened. To be continued...
(July 2, 2006)
We sent senior manbunnies correspondent, Crabbunny, backstage to report on the show. Mexicali Blues fed us a LOT of food back there. He might have been a little distracted with the free flowing booze and food to do any type of reporting.
Developing news...more to come.

We take the time now to address a question frequently sent to the manbunnies--is Antigone Rising playing a show on New Years Eve? The answer is no. You may direct further manbunny inqueries here. Do not direct your email forwards to the manbunnies. We will not read them and we might even hate you for it.
Anyway, no NYE show may sound like bad gnus to a lot of you, but there is good gnus on the horizon, especially if you live anywhere near the greater Cincinnati area! The Manbunnies encourage you to sign up for the class A History of the Pig in America with Especial Reference to the City of Cincinnati Otherwise Known as Porkopolis now being offered at Xavier University. We would like to thank the alert fan Cindy of Philly, PA for filling us in on how higher education relates to our lost friend, Pigbunny. Thank you, Cindy.

Let's rewind and take a step back from the crazy Rob Thomas tour. Remember in the fall when Antigone Rising toured with the Allman Brothers and some guys named Oteil, Derek, and Marc sat in a Storybook Romance jam? September 20th, 2005 in Kansas City, MO to be exact. Maybe this will jog your memory.
My name is Storybook Romance. Download me.

There have been speculations that the Manbunnies have fallen asleep in their newfound comforts on their assigned bunk aboard Gustavo the bus during the tour with Rob Thomas. Well, that is partially true but we have been tagging along crossing state borders. Everyone's having a grand old time seeing things from every perspective, especially when Cassidy goes out to sing with Rob. We know you've all been dying to see what the Manbunnies are seeing, so we're going to share some exclusive photos! You've heard about the large crowds that gather during intermission after Antigone Rising's set for the autograph sessions, now you can see the size for yourself! Here's Cathy manning her area of the table. She looks like Cassidy, but we assure you it's Cathy because we were there!
You've been had by the caniving Manbunnies.

We forgot to tell you more info about our newest manbunny. No, Pigbunny did not pull a Michael Jackson and we did not find our newest manbunny at Neverland Ranch. She is in fact another Pigbunny, but she is not replacing THE lost Pigbunny. We found some sort of Manbunny hangout! Beware, this may be some of the most disturbing pictures you'll see. Pigbunny did report in on the whereabouts of his current adventure. Check out his updates and new pictures!

So you want the gnus. You've heard about the bus, yes? We know what you're thinking. No fear friends. Some of the manbunnies are splitting time between the shelf netting inside Vanna while others are "marking their territory" on the new tour bus. We get our own bunk! People know better than to violate our space or else they'll wake up with a Lionbunny next to their pillow, compliments of Michael Corleonebunny (horse's heads are so 1940s). Let's just say it's no fun to wake up startled in a bunk setup unless you have a porcelain head.
We've also had a very busy Friday night crashing parties. We were too busy getting our paws on party favorites and abusing the open bars to do our jobs so we made the rookie manbunny do all the spying. Manbunny hazing. The first was a private party was at the Cutting Room. The band played a short set to a packed house. Cathy had a guitar solo in Broken. That's gnus, right? They also got re-aquainted with their TVs because Run For Your Life was featured in a movie, which is worth partying for. That's "Mister" to me and to you. Is that gnus? Bet you haven't heard that song in awhile.
Then we all bunny-hopped from 24th St to 46th St for the WILD street party at the Marriott Marquee. Imagine taking the "rooftop" stage and Times Square is your oyster! That's definitely gnus worthy, right? Judging by the huge crowd, the bright lights, and the loud music, you would never have guessed it was 10:30pm. Rumor has it that the girls drew the biggest crowd during the m-spot series. The band pumped up the amps and Cass left it all on stage. We know we've already released an Antigone Rising version of Michelle Malone's Medicated Magdalene, but if you were in Times Square last night, you'll know they've outdone themselves when they closed out the show with a more kicking and dramatic version. No footage. Our rookie on the job got caught out of the van! Besides, you should have been there yourself.
Lastly, has anyone stayed at the Marriott Marquee before? What a crazy Sci-Fi experience! It's really neat inside and the elevator ride is trippy. We would have rode it up and down all night if we didn't have to keep a low profile after getting caught by the band earlier. We did feel like Godzilla, but cuter and furrier, looking at the little people and cars from the suite on the 45th floor. We were also a little suspicious of one of the offices in the building across the street...some sort of Spongebob Conspiracy Think Tank, but we know we want in. That's all the manbunny gnus for now. More pictures coming later...maybe.

As you may have heard, Pigbunny had a little run in with the law during his stay in The Netherlands. We received a package today from Holland containing Pigbunny's belongings, but no Pigbunny. Maybe the jail is returning his belongings since he escaped and they're no longer containing him. Where is Pigbunny now? Your guess is as good as ours. Until we hear from Pigbunny again, enjoy the newly added nuggets.

Hello boys and girls not donning animal outfits! The Manbunnies have returned with exclusive footage from fun times at Copley Plaza this past Thursday in Boston, MA! The beer wasn't as free flowing as a Pigbunny detour but WBOS knows how to put on a great party.

Blij en afschuwelijk! That's Dutch for "happy and horrified". We could have just banged on the keyboards with our paws. You all would never have known the difference. Our comrade Pigbunny has landed in The Netherlands and oh boy, is it interesting. The rest of us manbunnies have lots of catching up to do in the partying department. Don't take our word for it, check it out for yourself. The question now is...will Pigbunny sail the popsticle stick Viking ship back across the Atlantic?

Listen up! We have some exciting manbunny gnus! The Manbunnies are happy to announce that we will be providing some exclusive interviews here on .net! Tune in as special guests of honor sit in and have dinner with the Manbunnies. You don't want to miss out on that fun.
The other news is Pigbunny has reported in again. If it were actually possible, his sense of direction appears to be getting worse. He seems to be having a tad bit too much fun. We will have updates to you by the end of this week.

A few months ago, we convinced Vanna White to take us out because we manbunnies have problems sitting still during the downtimes when the band's not touring. We scared some little kids off of a playground and then partied on to some drunken manbunny games. We quickly lost count of beers and to our shocking horror, fellow manbunnies. We realized the next morning in our hungover stupor that Pigbunny did not return with us. Had we been conscious enough to realize he left the party to nap, we would have gladly kicked him down the slide to wake him up. Instead, he slept through loadout and we forgot about him. The good news is we received word from Pigbunny and he's okay. He's a little lost but he's working his way to reuniting with the rest of us in Vanna White where he belongs. Being the oinker that he is, we won't be surprised if he thinks with his little tummy first and takes his sweet old time finding his way back. We will try to keep you updated whenever we hear from Pigbunny.
